Ask kanês: Tell your company what needs to get done
Write a request the way you would message a colleague. kanês reads it, checks names, dates and prices against your records, and either answers or does the work, showing every step.
What is Ask kanês?
Ask kanês is the command line of the kanês workspace. You write or say what you need in your own words, and kanês answers from your company's records or carries the work out in the modules you already use, such as tasks and proposals.
How it works

You ask
From the Ask page, the command palette (⌘K) or by voice. For example: "Prepare a proposal for Maple Studio" or "What slipped this week?"

One call decides what kind of request it is and brings in the right specialist: Operations, Sales or Strategy. You never pick an agent yourself.

It checks your records
Names resolve to clients and people you can see; dates must be real and not in the past; a price is used only if it is in your confirmed pricing or in your request.

It does the work, or asks
Routine work you asked for runs at once. A tentative plan waits for your confirmation; an unclear request gets one question instead of a guess.

You see every step
Each request has its own page: what was asked, each step in plain words, what it is waiting for and what changed.
What it does
- Answers questions from your clients, projects, tasks, proposals and Company Brain
- Creates tasks for you or a teammate, skipping duplicates of open tasks
- Drafts a proposal for a client on record, with a follow-up task
- Lists missing information under "Still needed from you" instead of inventing it
- Runs on your company's own OpenAI or Claude API key
What it does not do
- It does not send email or take payments; a proposal stays a draft until you share it
- It does not act with more access than the person asking; your role decides what it can read and change
- It does not work without an AI provider connected; everything else in kanês does

What is Ask kanês?

Which AI model does Ask kanês use?
Your company's own. An owner or admin connects an OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude) API key in Settings and picks the model; the provider bills the company directly. kanês has no model account of its own.
Can Ask kanês do things without my approval?
Only routine internal work you asked for, such as creating the tasks you requested or a proposal draft. Tentative plans wait for your confirmation, and anything that would leave the workspace needs an approval.
